Queries should be submitted as follows:

1. Introduction of who you are and the genre/s you write in. Have you ever published before? Titles of books. Please include details about your platform and following/social media following/newsletter list etc. Queries are many. Make yours stand out.

2. Explanation of how you plan to market and advertise your book once published.

3. First fifty pages of manuscript, double space, 12 pt font, Times. Submit your most polished manuscript! I repeat. Bring your most polished manuscript. I know we specialize in Urban Fiction but writing guidelines still apply!! We expect slang, but we also expect proper point of view, correct grammar, sentence structure, etc. Manuscripts with numerous errors will be rejected.

4. Chapter by chapter synopsis breakdown. Summarize each chapter and please highlight what is most important in each chapter. Use this to sell your book to us. Holding back "surprises" or turn of events does not benefit you here. We, the publisher, want to sample the best of the book before deciding if we want to read the full manuscript. Bring out the best.

Traditionally Published
Manuscripts can not be submitted to be traditionally published. This option is by offer only to manuscripts submitted for Extra Help Publishing or Just Wanna Write Publishing contracts, at the discretion of UHP. Traditionally published is a no-fee publishing contract.
